WKW TV

Last updated: July 14, 2026

WKW TV (the free "Lite" version and the paid "Pro" version) is a media player. It doesn't provide, host, or sell any TV channels, movies, or shows — you connect it to a streaming service you already subscribe to (Xtream Codes or M3U), and the app plays that service's content.

What the app stores

When you add an account in WKW TV, the app saves the following on your device:

  • The server address, username, and password for your streaming provider
  • Which channels you've marked as favorites
  • A short history of recently watched channels

This stays in the app's private storage on your phone, tablet, or TV. It's never sent to us. We don't have servers that collect or receive it.

What the app sends, and to whom

The only network requests WKW TV makes are directly to the streaming provider's server you configured, to load channels, fetch guide data, and play video. We never see this traffic, and we don't run any backend for the app.

There's no advertising, analytics, or crash reporting in the app, and we don't collect data about you.

Moving your setup between your devices

WKW TV has a few optional Link & Transfer features. All of them are off until you open that screen and use them, and they only work between devices on the same home network. None of it works over the internet.

You can set the app up from a web browser on another device, copy your accounts and lists to a second device running WKW TV, or start a channel playing on one device from another. In every case your data moves straight from one of your devices to the other. It doesn't pass through us, because there's nothing of ours to pass through. Sending anything requires a code shown on the receiving device's screen, and video never moves between devices — each device plays straight from your provider.

Your data

Everything is stored only on your device, so deleting the app or removing an account erases that data completely. There's nothing on our end to delete, since we never had it.

Third-party services

WKW TV works with any service that uses the Xtream Codes or M3U/M3U8 formats. We have no relationship with, and no control over, whichever provider you connect to. Your agreement is with your streaming provider, not with us.
